1. Pricing model
Landlodz operates a per-application pricing model. The initial planner consult is free. When you instruct us to prepare and lodge a land use application or appeal, Landlodz issues you an invoice in South African Rand (ZAR) for a once-off professional service fee. The service fee is published per application type on the Landlodz pricing page. Statutory municipal application fees are set by the relevant municipality, are charged separately at cost, and are confirmed in writing by our planner before lodgement.
1.1 What the service fee covers
- Planner intake - review of your property, zoning context and proposed development against SPLUMA criteria
- SPLUMA-aligned motivational report and the full supporting document pack drafted to municipal standard
- 12-point planner verification before any submission leaves Landlodz
- Municipal lodgement with the relevant land use management department and ongoing liaison until a decision is issued
1.2 Appeal pricing
Where you instruct us to lodge a formal appeal against a municipal decision, the appeal fee is R5 160 (five thousand one hundred and sixty Rand) per appeal. The appeal fee is separate from the original application fee and is invoiced separately by Landlodz, with its own pro-forma and final invoice emailed to you.
1.3 Optional add-ons
- Additional planner consultation time beyond the included scope is billed in 30-minute increments at the published rate, with a pro-forma issued first
- Re-submission after applicant-requested material changes is billed at 50% of the original service fee
- Hard-copy courier of the lodgement pack is billed at cost
2. Who invoices you
All invoices are issued by Landlodz (Pty) Ltd and payment is made to the Landlodz company bank account only. Town planners working on your matter are contracted by Landlodz and do not invoice you, do not quote you separately, and are not permitted to accept payment from you in their own name or into a personal or practice account.
- Every invoice carries the Landlodz legal name, company registration number, contact details and a unique invoice number
- Every invoice carries the Landlodz banking details set out in section 4
- If you receive an invoice or banking details from any other name or entity, do not pay it - report it to consult@landlodz.com immediately
3. Invoicing process
- A pro-forma invoice is issued by Landlodz before payment, setting out the service fee for each application type
- A final invoice is issued once payment reflects and is emailed from notify@notify.landlodz.com or consult@landlodz.com
- Invoices show the Landlodz service fee per application type; statutory municipal fees are set by the municipality and invoiced separately at cost
- We retain invoices for at least 5 years and will re-send a copy on request to consult@landlodz.com
- Need an invoice readdressed to a company, trust or third party? Email consult@landlodz.com within 14 days of payment
4. How to pay
Payment is made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) into the Landlodz business bank account, using your invoice number as the payment reference. Landlodz does not operate an online card checkout and will never ask you for card numbers, CVV codes, online banking passwords or one-time PINs.

In summary: a full refund is available before any planner work begins; once planner work has started - or from day 8 after payment where no cancellation or refund request has been submitted within the first 7 calendar days, whichever comes first - the Landlodz service fee is not refundable, while any municipal fee we are still holding and have not yet paid over remains refundable; and no refund is payable once an application or appeal has been formally lodged with the municipality.
Approved refunds are paid by EFT back to the bank account from which payment was received. We do not refund to a third-party account.

Landlodz is not currently registered as a VAT vendor, so invoices are issued without VAT. Statutory municipal application fees are levied by the municipality and are invoiced separately at cost. You are responsible for any tax consequences that apply to you personally or to your business.
